Classic Heli Skiing Package Registration Policies & Conditions

The Organizer

True North Heli-Skiing Ltd. (hereinafter called TNHS) is the licensed operator for all packages and activities offered by Northern Escape Heli-Skiing (NEHS), which is the Organizer of all packages described in this brochure. The travel agency representing NEHS is only a mediator.

Registration, Deposit and Payment

Due to the nature of this vacation, commitments must be made well in advance of your package commencement with us. Therefore, NEHS requires a deposit of $1,200.00 per 7 or 5 day package or $900.00 per 3 or 4 day package which must be received by NEHS or your Travel Agency within 10 days of confirmation of your reservation. All payments are payable to Northern Escape Heli Skiing or to your Travel Agency and are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Payment of the balance of your reserved package is due 12 weeks prior to the commencement of your package. Reservations may be cancelled without notice to the guest if full payment has not been received by NEHS on the due date. For bookings made less than 12 weeks prior to the package commencement, the full package price is due at time of booking.

Payments can be made by Cash, Cheque, Visa, MasterCard or Bank Wire.

Northern Escape Heli-Skiing reserves the right to ammend prices and/or polices without notice.

Cancellations

If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your reservation, we require written notification by registered mail. All deposits for cancellations made less than 12 weeks prior to the package commencement date are NON-REFUNDABLE and will be retained by NEHS.

For cancellations made less than 12 weeks prior to the package commencement date, the total package price is due in full and is NON-REFUNDABLE. If the cancelled reservation can be re-sold to another guest that assumes the contractual obligations, and only if the cancelled space is still available, a change of reservation fee of $250 will apply.

Refunds

All packages are sold in units beginning and ending on a specific date. No refund is given, in whole or in part, for un-used days due to late arrival or early departure. In addition, no refund is given for any unused portion of your package due to poor physical fitness, skiing/boarding ability, illness or injury.

Refunds given for "down days" due to inclement weather or mechanical break down will be limited to that of our Vertical Refund Policy. There is no refund if you choose not to participate in any activity or to return to the lodge early.

NEHS maintains a minimum run vertical of 1,500 vertical feet (450m).

NEHS reserves the right to cancel any package at any time. FULL REFUNDS will be given if this is the case.

Exclusion of Liability and Assumption of Risks

Please read carefully! Wilderness skiing and snowboarding involve risks, dangers and hazards in addition to those normally associated with downhill skiing and snowboarding at a ski area. These risks, dangers and hazards are outlined in our Release of Liability and Assumption of Risks Agreement which all guests are requested to read and required to sign before participating in our program. This agreement will affect your legal rights should you be involved in an accident. Copies of this agreement are available from our office and/or by clicking the link below.

Classic Heli Skiing Package Prices

New for 2012 - Unlimited Vertical Option

Northern Escape Heli-Skiing is excited to offer an Unlimited Vertical option with a twist. It’s Unlimited heli skiing/heli boarding AND your minimum vertical guarantee is increased. We guarantee every extra meter. There are never any extra vertical charges, and if you don’t utilize all of the additional vertical, you are credited the difference against your next trip with us. It’s Unlimited Vertical without the risk of over paying!

Claissic Heli Skiing packages include transfers between the Terrace Regional Airport and Yellow Cedar Lodge, accommodation (double occupancy), use of all lodge amenities, all meals and non alcoholic beverages, guide services, use of an Avalanche Transceiver, Airbag Backpack and use of powder skis/ploles.

Single Room Accommodation at Yellow Cedar Lodge

Single rooms are an additional $120.00 per night and are subject to availability. For those not skiing, accommodation only packages are available at $250.00 per night (based on double occupancy).

Extra Vertical

We guarantee 100% of your vertical feet of heliskiing. You are welcome to helski/heliboard as much or as little as you wish and extra vertical is available for an additional $139.00 per 1,000 m ($42.00 per 1,000 feet). Your vertical each day, whether by Helicopter or by Snowcat back-up, is cumulative and will be posted for you to keep track of. There are no extra vertical charges for weeks with Unlimited Vertical included in their package.

Vertical Refund Policy

If due to poor weather or mechanical breakdown only, you are unable to heliski/heliboard the full vertical included in your package, Northern Escape Heli-Skiing will refund $139.00 per 1,000 m ($42.00 per 1,000 feet) for the unskied/boarded portion of your package.

Trip Cancellation Insurance

Trip Cancellation Insurance is highly recommended. Northern Escape Heli Skiing has made arrangements with Lutz Financial Services to offer our guests a comprehensive Cancellation and Interruption Insurance package. Medical Insurance

We recommend you carry insurance to cover hospital and ambulance expenses. Make sure that any insurance you purchase covers you while you are in Canada or out of your home province. Again, Lutz Financial Services offers a comprehensive Medical Insurance.

Evacuation Insurance

Evacuation Insurance is available from Northern Escape Heli Skiing to cover evacuation of an injured guest from the mountain to the hospital in Terrace, B.C. or to the nearest appropriate transfer point for the B.C. Ambulance Service. The cost is $8.00 per day per person. Guests requiring evacuation, and have arranged other evacuation insurance or have no insurance will be charged $2,500.00 per helicopter flight hour for any evacuation.

Group Discount

Groups of 12 heliskiers/heliboarders will receive one free seat when making a reservation for the same week. Pay for 11 seats and get 12 seats or split the discount amongst the group.

Foreign Currencies

Payments made in currencies other than Canadian Dollars will be credited at the exchange rate received upon deposit into our account.
