Our location in northwest British Columbia offers the perfect combination of climates for deep dry powder. The moist coastal flow is influenced by our northerly latitudes which cools all that Pacific moisture into our perfect powder snow. The result is a whopping average snowfall between 30 and 40 meters (100 - 130 feet) annually. It really is deeper up here!

 Safety First

At Northern Escape, providing you with a safe and enjoyable heliskiing/heliboarding vacation is our highest priority. Our guides are members of the highest level of national and international guide’s associations, and our pilots are experienced and highly capable mountain pilots. We also equip and train every guest in the use of the latest and most advanced avalanche safety equipment, (pictured here in demo mode). 

Enjoy Greater Mobility with Small Group Heli Skiing

You'll fly in small groups between four to six skiers/boarders in our new Koala and/or A-Star helicopters.  Each helicopter services a maximum of three groups in order to allow us greater mobility and to increase the terrain selection that is available for us to enjoy. You'll be free to heli ski/heli board as little or as much as your group chooses and at your own pace.

Getting Here is Easy

With Vancouver International airport only two hours by air, our guests usually eating dinner at our lodge the same day they leave the comforts of their home. Our staff pick you up at the airport and it is only a 25 minute drive to the lodge. The easy travel arrangements save you travel time and money.

Heli Skiing with Cat Skiing Back Up

Heliskiing with Cat Skiing Backup ensures you will ski a full day every day. We already said it's deeper up here, and all that fluffy stuff doesn't fall from blue skies. When it is snowing too hard to fly a helicopter to the peaks of the mountains, we simply fly to our 29 square km's (7,000 acres) of designated catskiing terrain. With zero down days, why take a chance any where else?

Heli Ski a Full Day Every Day

Ski more with less travel time with Northern Escape Heli Skiing. The last day of your skiing/boarding package with us is a full day, you return to the lodge at the regular time and as a result, your "week" package is 7 full days of heli skiing/heli boarding. You will have plenty of time to clean up and change prior to checking out. Then you will enjoy a light dinner before Northern Escape's friendly staff drive you to the airport.

All packages include meals and the word food just doesn't fit with what is offered at Northern Escape. We have a team of Red Seal Chefs who have created a mouth watering menu that will impress the most discerning palate. We offer a four course meal with an incredible wine list to match each course.
